Yes they just must not be animal people we used to have fish ducks a goat Guinea pigs chickens dogs cats a horse so ya we even have brought in a few strays I even buried eggs that formed but didn't hatch or pip with a little marker stone and I have my favorite cat burried in a little box with mulch and planted a small peice of a bleeding heart

We just have a dog and a cat and the chickens. We had a dog and cat before these 2 though, 2 cats actually but one ran away, and a dog before that dog that i dont remember really.

Yes and absolutely every single animal we have ever owned has and had a name even the gold fish and the fish I caught in the river as little minows

My husband says my chickens are not pets and work for a living but let me tell you; when he saw a stray dog kill a chick last year he sat in the yard with it in his hands crying. He buries all our lost pets by himself and won't let me help. Then he bought a blood orange tree and placed over our last dog that was poisoned. He's a big, mean, softy.

and I love him so much for that. Even now if I cry over losing a chick he holds me and then digs a tiny hole for it.

Yes I have done that to before for a little chick it was my favorite one she died at fours months big poofy head big fluffy butt her name was Mrs Elvis she was adorable

I lost a barred rock at 6 days and i cried and when it got sick at 5 days yes i panicked and was so upset and got told i wasnt mature enough for chickens :/
