You're in Wisconsin right? You probably should be burying the end of the wooden posts deeper, under your local frost line. where I'm at in SE Michigan its 42 inches, might be deeper where you're at in Wisconsin.T poles are the metal poles. I would always get the heaviest ones you can afford. The ultra cheap ones are thin and will bend easily. T-pole wont always save you money. It depends on what you are using T poles for. I have an Icelandic ram that is notorious for pushing up against fence and poles. T-pole will eventulay bend or be pushed out of the ground in our wet spring. For the sheep pens we use wooden poles buried at least 3'.
However for chicken/coon preventing T-pole are fine.
Love it!! Looks so simple yet so cute at the same time!! Your birds are pretty too and very cuteKept mine REAL simple....In Hawaii the only big worry is RAIN! Hence the shower curtain all the way around. Added the roost over the "house" with poop boardWorks great! They sleep there & the other roost are used during the day. House I'm hoping they use for nesting, so far they've explored it. They love sitting in the tray under the house, my intention was dust bath. They grub the (fenced) yard when I'm home & we just strung up a roll of bird netting (hawk prevention) over the Ti Leaf plants where they hang out when not in the patio.
