post your chicken coop pictures here!

Wait till you get over 50 then realize you want them to breed more next year. Lololol!
Dang that's freaking awesome! I have a nice pair of coops but wow!very nicely done! You may not like your run door size soon though. Hard to get a wheelbarrow in it maybe.

Thanks for all the comments I am real happy with how the run turned out. My single wheel wheelbarrow fits right through but my 2 wheel wheelbarrow is too wide. I planned to make one of the far gable end panels remove to get my tractor inside but I am so tired of working on this thing I just closed it up for now. If I feel it is necessary to get the tractor in I will modify it later. I am going to concentrate on the hen house now until it is done. One thing you can't see is a burried 4" x 6" beam under the gate between the 2 concrete footings. The perimeter of the rest of the run is circled with heavy rail road ties that are stapled to the fencing and toe nail screwed together and to the up right posts.

I've had great fun designing and building "The Funny Farm" coop this Summer for the flock I started this Spring in Brunswick, Ga. My grandfather always had chickens & I think he'd be pleased.

That's a cute setup. Post more photos please!

Just wow. My chickens have now just mutinied and told me I pull my finger out or they're moving stateside... Apparently they don't have the lifestyle they expect or deserve! I though I was doing ok too

Lol I'm sure they love you but for reals seeing some is these coops make me jealous even though I know I made my girls a perfect home for them lol

I posted this earlier this summer.

I had two roosters in a temporary pen in our back yard where I was sure they would be safe. Then one morning I woke up to find both roosters loose and one had half of his tail missing. That night I reinforced their pen and set out the game camera. This is what I saw.

Three days later I had caught two possums and the smaller raccoon. I never caught the larger of the two. We have dogs running in our back yard off and on all night. Never assume there isn't anything out there that is going to try to get your birds.

I have the run built now and the hen house has been painted inside. I am hoping to open the hen house tomorrow for the girls I have just a few things to wrap up for them to occupy the building. I will still need to add the trim but that doesn't need to be done for them to start using it.

What breed of chicken is that in the last picture? Or is that the coop/run inspector?

Great space and build Mike, it will last through a generation or more of chicken owners in your family.

This is the newest coop I've built.

I started with the chicken tractor in the middle, it now houses my 4 juvenile (4 month old) Black Sex Links. The smaller one on the left holds 3 little Buff Orpingtons less than 3 months old and the bigger newest coop houses the 2 laying hens, a 2 year old black sex link, Ginger, and a 1 year old Buff Orpington, Blondie.

That is my best buddy Hank he is half poodle & half sheep dog. He is almost always by my side and when he is not he is looking for me.
