I would consider those more 'decorative' than functional in this application where you have to be concerned about predators gaining access... They are just 'press fit' meaning a raccoon or other predator could simply pop them out, and even if you did mount them better they are flimsy and a raccoon again could tear it apart to gain access... Of course location will dictate how easy the critter can gain entry to a hole covered with those vents but I do want to issue the warning of their drawbacks... For a lot cheaper you can simply drill the hole or cut out a shape and on the inside of the coop place some 1/4" hardware cloth screwed down with batten strips over the opening... And if you really want you can trim down and glue those vents in place from the outside for 'decoration' but do note I suspect you might find they get clogged with chicken dust pretty quickly... Even the 1/2" hardware mesh on my windows starts to collect a noticeable degree of dust after a few weeks that starts to inhibit air flow...
