We've decided to expand with Chicken Tractors instead of building more fixed coops. After an extensive search, which is detailed on our blog (read it here: http://www.chuckeychickens.com/Blog.php )
we went with these Tractor style coops.

They come in a range of sizes, types, colors with various features. We have six of them now and just love them.

Here's mine!. It is made almost entirely out of reclaimed or repurposed wood and hardware. Enjoy!

What a lovely coop and run! It cries for a pretty paint job to do it justice. Maybe green and yellow or red and white?

I still have more to do but it is getting there. I built it with panels that were finished and modular so it makes it easy to add or remove panels as growth needs change. Coop is 9 feet by 24 feet. Win the roof is done I need to still build one more just like it for the other birds.

The size of the smaller one is 4x10 . there is a guy in NC that builds them. he built the small one in about 4 hours.
