Here is my coop so far although I did finish the nest boxes today. it will house 4 hens which arrive from MPC next week. It has been fun to build although way over budget. There will be windows on both sides that can open.I looking forward to installing the automatic door and coop cam. Any comments appreciated, New to chickens here and more pics to come soon.

wow I am also starting to build a coop but I don't know if I will build a coop that is very large because I only want about 3 chickens

Lots of work but we did it! (roosting posts in the corner) oh and there is not normally a towel up there I have to work on the door a bit yet :)

I love it, too! So rustic and fits right in with the land!
Edited to add, I love the log cabin coop. Pic didn't come up for some reason.

Here is one of the pictures of the progress on my Chicken House! It is built on a 12'x6' base so that if we ever move, it will fit on the trailer!

There will be 1'x8' ventilation across the front and 1'x12' ventilation across the back. There are 4-2'x3' windows. I have a 1'x1' pop door on the west side. Next step for us is to put in spacers in the rafters and then the roof.

Many praises to my husband and all his hard work!!!

I LOVE this one!!!

We moved this past Fall to a new house on 9 acres. The only problem was that the land, except for the acre that our house sits on, is all wooded. So instead of fighting the trees, we decided to use them to help us build our coop.
We made a log cabin, which is roughly 8 X 8, and houses our 6 Golden Comets and our Barred Rock Roo.
