Mary Poopins - black barred rock (I'm hoping she's a girl this time, otherwise we'll have Marty Poopins and Manny Poopins.)

Aunt Jemima - black star (My husband said naming her Syrup didn't sound right, so I had to go with the prettiest lady on a bottle of syrup.)

Waffles - golden comet (Who doesn't want a chicken named Waffles?)

I don't think I've posted our names though I've followed the thread for awhile. We have six one month old chicks:


A Golden Buff/Comet (sex-link) named Amelia, she was the first to get her name because of how bold, curious and clever she is.


An Easter Egger named Clara, my 4 year old son's chick and named by him when he heard about Amelia- from Doctor Who,
they are quite the companions with one another too


Our sweet fluffy Buff Orpington is temporarily called Baby Buff but will eventually get a proper name, husband thinks Chloe I prefer Elizabeth, Guinevere or Gwenllian (see names below)


My Black Copper Maran is called Morgaine (from Mists of Avalon)


My husband's Dorking named Victoria (he claims its not after the queen, who favored the breed for both their meat and eggs)


And a Buckeye who I was calling Nettie (after the breed founder) but it didn't seem to fit and we now suspect she may be a roo, if she
does turn out to be pullet we may call her Boudicca as she is always challenging the others, especially Amelia.

Hello I'm new here. I just got my first bantam today. She's the sweetest! I named her Marilyn [monroe] because of her big "blonde" (khaki) "hair"

My Pullet is named Henrietta, and my Roo is named Clarke, after Louis and Clark. He used to be named Napoleon cause he was always so curious, but i thought that on the off chance he was a girl I should have a different name.

I love all the names! We have a trio of leghorns, (one is a mixed...EE) named Mr. and Mrs Cluck. The EE is Mabel Green.

Then my son has 2 buff orpington girls: Cheesepuff and Cheeseball
