I think I may know why he likes Solid Birds. Solid Colored birds are easier to breed since they really don't have any patterns.

I prefer Crested, Runners, and Call Ducks but to each his own.

I wish I had some show ducks. But then again I dont have any duck shows arouend here so I will just stick to my high fertility hatch rate.eggs (when I get some from my ducks lol

I get HIGH fertility from my show ducks?? I have Cayugas, Muscovys, and East Indies......

Muscovies will be forever at the top of my list. They are so friendly and cute. I love their tail wagging chirtling little butts. Lol!
