There is a local mill called G-Farms I buy my horse pellets from, I might see if they have chicken feed.

We buy ours in bulk from a local feed mill at 2500 pounds per trip. It's a 20% layer with 200 pounds of extra oyster shell added. It comes out to about $8 per 50 pounds. Store bought layer is $11 something per 50 pounds.

I'm spending $20.00 for 50lbs Nutrena Layer crumbles. I have been thinking of going organic, but it's $29.00/50lbs.

I am paying about $8 per 50lbs. I am puchasing in 500 lb batches though. My cost is $81 for mix and bag. I supply my own bags and cycle them in and out of the feed mill here.

Bought a 50 lb bag of layer pellet and a 50 lb bag of scratch grains for $22 yesterday. Don't know the exact cost of each bag since I get my feed from a country store. I walk in, they load, I pay.

Don't even have to ask - they automatically know what I want.

I purchased sacks from the mill for $0.30 each. I puchased 20 of them. When they close them up they just do a quick slip knot with twine and holds great. The sacks are mix between burlap and poly I guess you could say.
