And Beauty (she laid it)...

I'm sure the people I work with think I'm nuts...but this pretty exciting stuff!

Eggs #1 and #2 (as far as I know anyways

), laid by our Gold Link pullet Gertie. She laid the first egg either the day she turned eighteen weeks old, or a day or two before. The second she laid at eighteen weeks and one day.

Got my first egg on the 31st of August, it was from one of my white leghorns, she was only 17 weeks old. Way to go girl, she layed another one today, it was slightly bigger then the first one.

1st Egg out of one of my 30 hens!

We got our first egg yesterday, exactly 20 weeks old from one of our barred rocks...

We got another one today -- same hen, but it was a bit smaller. Good strong shells!

These are our first two eggs, one laid yesterday, one today. They're a very light olive green and from our 21 week EE. Now hopefully her two sisters will start laying!
