The small brown ones are my BR Bantam "Alfie"s first. She is only 18 weeks old! The creamy ones are from my OEGB Fiona, she has been laying for awhile. I have 6 more still to get their first eggs, could be anyday now!

The egg on the left is the first egg from my Golden Laced Wyandotte!

(haven't named her yet) She is around 22 weeks old. The egg next to it is my BR Bantam Alfie. She just started laying 7 days ago and it's her 7th egg! I took it next to the Ben Franklin to show the size and since I figure it's about what that first egg is costing me it is appropriate!

My son found this as our first egg ever, poor girl didn't know what to do with herself. She just dropped it out onto the garage floor! Our son came out of the garage yelling "An egg, an egg. I found an egg and it hatched already! The next day went a little smoother.

Okay so I read the post and saw the pic of the broken egg and I kind of saw the pic of the piano but didn't really grasp it until the second time of looking! Your chicken laid an egg on your piano?!!!

Hope it's even smoother now!

Our youngest daughter found our first egg, square in the center of the coop yesterday evening. We all did the ceremonial "first egg dance" this morning, scrambled it, divided evenly and all partook.
