I've been getting a few brown eggs from my BRs and BAs for the past two weeks, but today Tina Louise, a 20.5 week old EE layed the first blue egg of my nine EEs.
It's a beauty!

Three days ago we got our first egg. We've gotten three more since then. Not sure which hen(s) out of 12 is laying. We were all pretty egg-cited!!!

Our first egg arrived within a day of adding golf balls to the nest box. The same hen, Roxie, laid another the very next day - what a good girl! By the way, that isn't dirt on my hands but blueberry juice (they love their blueberry treats!).

I think one of our other three hens will be laying soon too as she's doing the "squat" and our Rooster is her "boyfriend" too. However Sasha, who looks a little like an EE, has shown no signs and the rooster doesn't pay a bit of attention to her either...

What a beautiful egg! I love the peachy tint.

Congratulations everyone, on the eggs! All but one of my older pullets [5 to 7 months] are now laying - my camera hasn't been working

so no pix. I will wait on the blue, then snap a pic of my 'colorful egg basket. Li'l Courtney - 6 month old blue Ameraucana Bantam - has not yet come across with my first blue egg! She was a 'failure to thrive' baby that DD Courtney peeled out of her shrink wrap and bathed. She was always vigorous, simply did NOT grow for her first 10 days then was always half the size of her clutch mates. Probably simply a late-starting runt, but possibly a dwarf.
