Looks like all the Easter Eggers are finally getting off their lazy butts! Everyones eggs are beautiful and such great pics. Well my little Easter egger Ella gave me a first today at 28 wks. Her leghorn sister has been laying daily since 22wks, I guess she got tired of being shown up. Sorry my pics aren't as great..cellphone. The blue is closest to the comparison egg, Now i just have to see how often she'll lay.

Not quite this blue.

But a little more blue than this.

I love how the sun shows off her feathering.

Here she's showing off her tufts. Most of the EE i'm seeing on her are the buff or golden color but Ella is supposed to be the more common "Chipmunk" variety. She's not so common to me. LOL

The lovely pinkish egg in the middle is from our 35-week-old barred rock, Juanita, who just gifted us with this as her first egg at 10:30 this morning! She is laying very late, but better late than never. It is certainly a lovely color! My camera phone doesn't take the most ideal pictures, but this isn't too terribly bad.

The blue-green one in the middle is my first ever large fowl Ameraucana egg from my 8 month old black pullet, laid yesterday, and the one all the way on the right is my first bantam lavender Ameraucana egg, laid this morning! (that one is more teal-ish than olive like it looks in the pic, my cell phone messes with colors really bad)

We got our first eggs today. We have 13 chickens, 10 are around 22wks. We got them on Aug 14th, they were a few wks old with wing feathers. The other 3 were hatched 8/4/10 so we're pretty sure its not them. The 10 are 5 Cuckoo Marans, 3 SLW & 2 EE just not sure which ones

Oh yeah, they are tiny. They didn't even make it to the small size on the egg weigh scale. Standard hatchery chickens.
