First egg ever! This one is from my Mille Fleur bantam girl Tiger. She's tiny and so is her egg!

Well....I sure did THINK this was our first egg on August 8....

Then while cleaning out the rose garden the next day, I found THIS!

I am unable to post pics due to a missing chord that goes from the camera to the computer but.....I got my very first egg last night from my Austrolorp girls, they'll be 22 weeks old tomorrow - YAY!

Hi all, Just got my first egg today from one of my five girls (not sure which one) and I feel like a proud papa. Sure, it wasn't laid in the nesting box, so we've got a little work to do, but I'm pretty darn happy. I've even composed a limerick to commemorate the occasion:

He walks to the finest of coops
Hoping to see eggs from his troops
The box has nothing but straw
He gives another sad "Aww"
Then finds his first egg by some poops.

My first egg ever from Helen, a Cuckoo Marans. It's 1.4 ounces, 1.5 inches wide and 2 inches long. I'm so proud of Helen. She even laid it in the nestbox like an old pro.
