Post your FIRST EGG pics!

I got 2 first eggs yesterday!
The larger darker one is 61 grams from Belle an 18 week old Golden Buff.
The smaller lighter one is 47 grams from Scarlett a 22 week old Barred Rock.

We cracked them open this morning for breakfast and Belle's was a double yolker. Way to go Belle!

This little egg was a surprise from the adolescent pen. I put it next to a large white egg and stuck it in the pot of begonias so that you could tell the color better.

I don't know why I'm so proud of the girls. It's not like I did anything.
I do wonder what goes thru their minds when that first egg comes out, not that they have a choice in the matter!
I did get another egg from both of them today and Belle has quite the egg song. But I'd expect nothing less, she is the most obnoxious of the 7 I have.

Got my first eggs from my EE/Welsummer cross this week. The picture doesn't really do them justice; they have more of an olive green tint than what is shows up with the flash on. Can't wait til she starts laying all the time!

First egg yesterday from my 19 week leghorn.

I was really surprised that today she presented me with another! So exciting! We will cook tomorrow and am hoping that maybe I will have a 3rd so that the three of us will each get an egg to ourselves as a "first".

My EE finally laid an egg! And it's the most beautiful blue-green egg I have ever seen!
Everyone is laying now, and that is my rainbow of colors.
