I got my first egg yesterday from Bruce Campbell my 23 week old Easter Egger, it's an olive color, and since it's her first it's so small and dark colored compared to the older hens

this one looked too dark so I took a couple for comparison

This is to show what it look like compared to a hard-boiled brown large egg from the store and a blue egg from one of my girls

Zella, Our Australorp pullet laid her first egg! Even with our cold snap and 6 inches of snow!

Our chickens gave us a Christmas present; our first egg!

Which we had for breakfast (and it was delicious!).

No idea who laid it, but we're guessing it was our barred rock or our australorp. SO EXCITING!
