I went out to check on my birds for the night and FOUND AN EGG!!! I know it came from my little Grey Wings (bantam EE) as she's been the only one acting "ready" lately. I've had a feeling for the last two weeks that it would be soon and even just told my family that there would be an egg within the week!

My freeloading black australorp, Steve, finally laid her first egg yesterday at 33 weeks of age! Sheesh! It is our first brown egg; our other laying hen gives us small cream colored ones. Yay!

Our FIRST EGG!!!! One of my (9) barred rocks finally laid on Friday 13th! They are 23 weeks old / 5 months and 11 days / 164 days old. So cool!

YIPPPPEEEEEE!!!!!!!....Our first EGGS!...I have had one of my 20 week old BR pullets bawkbawkbawking in the coop like crazy the last 4 days and nothing but kept searching and all the sudden there was a chicken opera in the coop 15 minutes ago and I got 3 BEAUTIFUL little eggs......I love my Girls!!
