This is our first egg, the one on the left is a store bought egg, our RIR had this one, we now have a Barred Rock and SLW laying.

Is that egg really purpley pink?? What kind of chicken laid that one??

And how in the world do you tell who laid what?? I have sat out and watched and they NEVER lay an egg while I'm there!! Maybe I just need more patience!!
