Our bantam red frizzle cochin FINALLY laid her first egg!!! She's almost a year old...we thought it was NEVER going to happen...She was injured by 2 dogs we use to have last summer and they did some damage to her wing, not that you can tell now other than she stays on the ground. Then winter came around and we didn't offer any extra light and I think she molted so it all must have factored into a delay in laying. Now if our bantam EE will start laying again I might convince my husband bantams can bee good layers!!! I love the little eggs, they always make me smile!



For size and color its next to a red sex link egg from a girl the same age. I can't believe her egg is so dark!
