First egg ever. 24 week old pullet. Not sure who laid it. It was either Barbeque our New Hampshire or Nugget our Rhode Island Red.

We officially have 2 egg layers!! e First egg came at 19 weeks. This egg came at 21 weeks. Both RIRs. New egg is on the right Shell feels a little thin but it's a nice little egg for her first one! There's a teeny bit of blood on the shell though. Is that normal?

Nice! There is nothing normal about raising chickens. lol But yes, that sometimes happens. It should stop after her first couple of eggs. If it doesn't then you can be concerned.

my white leghorn Ginger laid her first egg last Friday ...and has laid one everyday since ...my RIRs haven't yet ..but I think very very soon. .they keep checking out the nesting boxes

here's my first brown egg from one of my RIR

and she did it the first time in the nesting box ...I kinda figured soon since they kept going in and out ... so Happy

Raven, our black sumatra laid her first lil' egg today. It is so cute and tiny. It is shown here compared to a regular Buff egg, and a double yoked egg.

We got a jelly egg this morning from our Cuckoo Marans. We also got our first egg from from Goldie, one of our Buff Orpingtons. She will be 21 weeks old on 10/21.
