Congrats and welcome to the chicken worldAt 22 weeks old, our Production RIR's each laid an egg this weekend. The first appeared Saturday from Chickaletta, the second Sunday from Tater Rocker and we got another from Chickaletta yesterday. We are still waiting for our Barred Rock "Nuggz" to make her first deposit but as you can see, my boys couldn't have been more excited to find these in the nest boxes this weekend! All three hens began to do "the squat" on or near February 24th and 8 days later we started getting eggs. Our first adventure into raising chickens has been so great and something that the whole family has been able to enjoy.
