Our first to lay was also one of our BOs -- and at 19 weeks as well. Her two sisters following close on her heals and are *this* close to laying it seems.....

Here are my first egg pictures!

This one is from one of my Barred rock, don't know which. We found two in the run, but I guess we just missed the first one, it was kind of buried in the sand. It happened on June 19th



And this one is from this morning, from one of my easter egger. It's actually more blue/green than in the picture.



My kids were ecstatic!

Here is our first egg from one of our Buff Orps, Bernice. Bernice looked it over and approved of her hard work!

This was Sunday, and her sister Francine has also started laying. Our flock is three Orps and two Silkies.
