i have 43 chickens, we knew we had one rooster, but today my hubbie found out we have two they still do not crow but he saw one get sex and said it was one of the rir'sthe big white one in the middle is a roos in 2nd picture i am surpised they do not crow yet. we get 22 eggs a day looking for the day we get 30 or 40 eggs in one day. not sure what we are going to do with them if i do get that many.

Great looking flock. Don't think I could go in there with treats….would be like the year hayride brought kids around our neighborhood for halloween….60+ children running at us…really scary.

I have only 6 hens and they jump, push to get closest for treat time. Bet yours do as well.

Yay! This is from one of 3 EE's. I think I've narrowed it down to Blondie or Valentine. I don't think Bean is ready yet. Blondie has been ready for weeks & Valentine has just turned red & squatting this past week.

I can picture that. But tell him to be careful, now they know how to get what they want.

We serve treats on a platter daily, and one of my BO can jump 3+ feet on the tray to try to get to it first.

Oh yeah! We feed ours on a tray too! I wouldn't be surprised to see one of the girls on each shoulder, one on his head, and one on the arm with the hand that's holding the goodies!

They don't really want to be held, and mostly not even petted, but you can sneak in a touch or two when they're eating, the feathery pigs!!! I can pet Buffy more than the others, especially if goodies are involved.

One of my BO, " big buff", actually sounds like a pig. Anticipation of treats and enjoying treats is welcomed by grunting that sounds just like a pig. If she had demonstrated that younger she would be named Pig Buff.

I got my first egg last Tuesday and the last three days got an egg a day ! So we've had 6 total; until today I was sure they were from one girl. Could theses be from the same chicken? The one yesterday was kinda half and half on colors. We don't light the coop, if that matters.

I would guess you have 2 different layers... but you could hang out with them for a while and see who is laying which egg!
