[Chicken Strut]

Another chicken started to lay today. I believe it is one of my lifht brahmas. The tan egg with white speckles is new and i think the other one is from my australorp. What do you

guys think?

You probably have this figured out by now but I think you're right. My light brahma lays a pinkish tan, matte finish egg. My black Australorp hasn't laid yet but the BA eggs I see online are darker and glossier like the one you show here.

I have 5, 5 different types of chicks in a coop right now (Welsummer, Australorp, White Leghorn, Speckled Sussex and an Easter Egger). They're all 6-7 months old now, and my White Leghorn, Nyra, laid her first egg on October 24th! (She seemed pretty proud of herself).

She is a cutie! She'll be an excellent layer!

Isn't that funny. My girls stand in line for their favorite box. Sometimes if they can't wait they'll lay in the other. But usually all four lay in the same one.
