I got my first eggs on Friday! I'm not sure which of the girls laid the first 3 eggs, but I was extremely suprised to see the eggs sitting in the straw, behind the nest boxes......typical...
I am the proud owner of 14 Isa Browns and 2 Light Sussex Roosters. 6 of the girls were hatched about the 15th December making them about 27 weeks. The other 8 are about 1 month behind. I'm guessing the eggs were laid by the older girls who have very red combs.

Here are the 3 eggs. They haven't been touched by human hands at this point. I saw them in the straw, went straight back to the house and got the camera.

Ok, this is my first egg from my sweet hen Gretchin who is a Black Sex-link... She is a year old but I just got her a week and a half ago. I bought her along with a GLW hen and rooster that are a year old as well but so far I haven't got anything from the GLW hen.
I felt like a kid at Christmas when I saw the egg tonight at feeding time.

This is my first egg ever. All the rest of my chickens are babies and won't be laying for at least another 3 months probably. I am so proud of my girl!

My first Egg today, wow so small and cute Layed July 30, 09, got 2nd egg, It has a soft shell. I'm not sure who layed them, I will try to watch and find out.

FIRST EGG CAME JUST LAST WEEK 6/23 !!! YEAH FINALLY! THE KIDS HAVE BEEN SO EGGCITED(HEHEHE) TO CHECK THE BOX EVERYDAY NOW! WE JUST LOVE IT.

Ive been getting 2 a day everyday since the first egg on the 21, and then today NOTHING but I guess the two girls deserve the day off! Time for the other girls to kick in and help Flower and Peaches out. LOL
Oh yeah yesterday was my first Jumbo egg, gifted to me by Peaches GSL what a good girl she is!
