Just to keep this relevant, here's is my sweet BR hen Martha's first egg from last summer (she was killed by a feral cat this spring, sadly. I blew and saved her last egg).

She was my first gal raised from a chick to actually lay, and she had such a wonderful personality!

I have to post this because I'm sooooo thrilled!! I've been waiting to post in this thread here from one of my chickens, but my Turkey, Pearl laid me two surprises (One was hidden)!! And Dangit, I'm gonna show them off! These ARE my first eggs!

Hopefully I'll be BACK REAL SOON to show off my FIRST CHICKEN EGG!!

I am so anxious. My little girl is 18 weeks old today and I haven't gotten one egg yet!
I'm jealous of all you posting your eggs everyday!

I know her time will come though. I can't wait!

My girls are in their first molt- YIKES! Feathers everywhere and their eggs are few and far between
