My first egg! My pullets are 23 weeks and 4 days old. I am pretty sure this one is from a Buff Orpington, because when I let them out a little early this morning one of them squatted right in front of me and layed an egg very similar to this one.

We were very excited to find our first egg ever today!

It was perfect! Our girls are a little over 23 weeks, one had been squatting for a couple of weeks now... She went into the coop and was in the nesting box for about an hour--and when she came out there it was!

Not my first egg by far but it is my first Serama egg.

From 10-22-10, my first egg - 20 weeks. Guessing it was a Production Red but there are a couple of Black Australorps who look like they're ready any day too.

One of our two EEs (Martha Stewart) at ~30 1/2 weeks laid her first egg today!!! The brown egg is from a BO and Martha's is a nice aqua! Now to see what Georgia O'Keefe's egg will look like... still waiting on her. Now the wait will be a bit easier... since I have a pretty color splash in my egg box!

And for size comparison I stuck in a black Duplo Lego block.

I've been waiting on my newest 5 french black copper maran pullets to lay FOREVER! Well it seems that way anyhow. Here's the first FBCM egg from one of the 5 pullets.
I'm thinking that once she gets her spray painter primed, these are going to be awesome!
