I got my first egg today. I found it when I got home from work. I have four hens so I don't know who left it for me, but I'm so excited.

It's small but beautiful. This is a quarter.

This is the nest. I noticed three nests have been "hollowed" out.

These are my girls. They are about 20 weeks old.

How old were your buff orpingtons when they laid mine are 21 weeks old and no eggs yet

I got my first egg yesterday after noon right after i posted the post above this 21weeks and 2 days old!

First egg from my RIR this morning, I was beyond excited

She is about 22 weeks and had been in and out of the nesting box for the last few mornings with her Roo watching over her. Here is the pic:

Yesterday my French Black Copper Marans left me this! Just a day shy of 23 weeks! Today another egg! I believe from my Welsummer!!!!!! 7 more chickens to go!
