Finally happened. our first egg...24 weeks I think.

OH my first BLUE egg.

The blue and green are from Araucana's - they're 19 weeks old.

Here it is! I was SOOO THRILLED! I can't believe we're finally gonna have eggs. I think I will make it for hubby's breakfast tomorrow.

cant put up a pick but my rir layed our very first egg today. shes also gotten fiestier. but when i saw that egg iwas like

its very small and brown

Tina-congrats! Your chicken looks alot like my 2, what kind is it and how old?

I was told mine are RIRs but I dont think so....

I was told that she is a RIR and she was 16 weeks almost exactly when she laid her first egg.
My white rock laid an egg the next day and is also 16 weeks.

Well one of my ladies finally laid her first egg.

it sure was tiny (that is a AA battery next to the egg). I hope they get to be larger as they lay more. I would gauge it as an
extra-small.
