Does anybody know if there is a basic color difference between a Barred Rock and RIR egg?
I realize that they will both lay brown eggs but is there any slight nuance differences?

These are the four I collected yesterday including one of my buff orpington's first

These are all the eggs from yesterday and today plus one from the day before yesterday. The others have all been eaten!

Here are a few first eggs from my BR and RIR girls....

The 2nd egg from the left I think was laid by one of my RIRs as a first egg and it is monstrous. I'm guessing since the only laying hens I have are my 4 22 week olds, that the darker eggs are from the 2 Barred Rocks hens and the paler eggs are from the RIRs...
