This is a great thread! We were having problems with something trying to get into our run at night. Finally borrowed a gamecam from a friend and caught the culprit.

Needless to say, he HAD to Go. Stray dog that was terrorizing everyone's livestock. Killed eight birds at a neighbors and he and two other strays killed a herd of goats.

Yes, it is a good thing. He was pulling at some landscape fabric my husband had put around the bottom of the run. His theory is that most pests won't bother something they can't see. This critter pulled it down three times before we got him. After the last time, hubby put up some metal sheeting around the bottom of the run, we got a motion sensor (w/alarm) and caught him a few nights later looking for a way in. Had not had any trouble with anything since, until yesterday. Got home to find that one of our four day of chicks was missing. We figure a snake got it, but there was no sign.

The neighborhood dogs are starting to visit every morning it seems.

If you care enough to put a collar on your dog, why not keep it home???

I see a collar but no tag. To me, a collar without tag means nothing. Same as a stray.
