Post Your Game Cam Pics Here!!!

Pics
Nice pics! What is your mare? Tail looks araby, but maybe something else by the face? Conamara?

Honestly I have no clue what she is. I do slaughter horse rescue on a small scale (1 @ a time), & I got her off the feedlot. To those that do not agree with this please do not take the time to chew me out. If I find a horse that I believe I can give a 2nd chance I will.

At first glance I thought she could be a Laguna mustang except that when I got her she was already used to people handling her. Normally when Laguna horses get run through the auction, or are on the feedlot, they are right off the range & usually pretty beat up.

Now after watching her finally gallop around & really move I have no clue what she could be. She carries her tail & head like an arab, but she high steps & has hock action that reminds me of a saddlebred or some type of gaited horse. Id like to get her breed tested, but I need to sort through my contacts & get a hold of the person who knows the folks that do it. If anyone has ever seen that old black & white show Ma & Pa Kettle: "one of these days..." lol

. All I know is that she is approx around 1 or 2 years old & is currently around 11-12 hands. I havent measured her. What ever she is I love her. She is the rescue I plan to keep. Ive always wanted a grulla, & I do not think I could have found a better one to work with

My Husband and I used to do that, my first show horse was a rescue, and one turned out to be my step-daughters best pony ever. We were called by our vet, and then word spread, so we got several 'fosters'. that were seized. It is the BEST feeling when you bond with one.
Just for some background, my DH passed away 12 years ago, we had 6 horses 68 acres, assorted dogs and cats. I ended up selling most of horses and the farm, just could not do it, my mother sick at the time too. Anyway, I am now stuck in suburban sprawl, with two cats and 4 hens. That's my life story.

Good for you, and your pheasants are fabulous!!

Thanks! I love being able to give each horse I get a 2nd chance, & I love working with them. I wish I could do the slaughter rescue on a larger scale but for now its one horse at a time.

The pheasants are technically domestic ringnecks gone wild, but I love having them around. Their not mine, more like the neighborhood's lol. They usually only show up during the winter which I find odd but... Hopefully one of these days one of the hens will be running around with a couple of chicks following

I think she may be a young he.....are those horn buds I see right infront of the ears? No matter what that is one healthy looking deer.

Cute last pic lol. Last night I slept with the window open & heard a weird call that im assuming is skunk cuz I couldnt think of anything else that could make a sound like that. Its sounded like a mix of a cat & baby crying but definitely was neither.

It was either a fox or a fisher IMO, depends on where you live. It's a scary sound when it's dark out and you can't see what is making the noise. I was outside one night when I heard it and I ran as fast as I could back into the house! Creepy, scary and hair raising even if you know what is making that noise! Yea, I'm a chicken when it comes to nightime noises in the woods.
