Mike W is dead on with the basic operations.

My suggestion is to buy a camera that has a sensor "sensitivity" adjustment. On my primos I can adjust the sensitivity (l/m/h) that will allow it to pick up the movement of branches or less sensitive to only pick up objects right in the center that are moving. I always max my sensitivity out to catch those little things on the edges. I do have to look through lots of pictures of grass and trees but for me it's worth it to make sure I get every creature large or small in the area. I have a moultrie camera that takes better pictures but has no sensitivity adjustment. I don't get near the empty frames but I also feel like I may be missing the small stuff. My next project is to set both cameras up together and test. Good luck.

The main thing is that he recently admitted to harassing my dogs so they hit the fence trying to get to him, but I believe I mentioned a couple of other things a few pages back.

What a dumb butt, good thing he ain't my neighbor , i got a couple dogs that could tear a whole in that chain link fence, it would not be pretty.

My daughter had a neighbor that use to harass her dogs when she was gone, crazy fool would shake the fence and bark at her dogs, she came home early from work one day and caught the neighbor across the street shooting her dogs with a BB gun, guy was the son of the neighbor that kept harassing her dogs, well it ended up she called the police on the son and the police only went and talked to him, a week later she had police at her door telling her the dogs were in violation of noise ordnance, when she explained the neighbor next store had been harassing the dogs by shaking the fence and barking at the dogs(yep barked at the dogs for real) the police told her she need proof so she set up a video camera and caught it all on tape the very day she set up the camera.

She took the tape to court and won the case but lost one of he dogs due to poisoning from antifreeze in the end, karma came around to him though and his house caught fire and burned to the ground and the fire department was only one street over go figure.
She lives out here on our land now

I can't believe the lengths mean people go ...what good does it do him to bother dogs next door? And why? That's so perverted. Glad your daughter doesn't have to deal with someone like that. Seems there should be something a homeowner could do about a sick, perverted gorilla harassing dogs through a chain link fence.

Sweet sweet karma. Luckily I havent seen any barking or fence shaking. If all else fails he see the camera & realizes its a dumb idea . In the past he has spread horrid rumors about my lab X, admitted to spitting at a wolf dog we were keeping for a friend (the wolf loved everyone but him), & just to bother me since I love animals also admitted that back when we had a large feral cat population he used to shoot them for fun. The only thing they did wrong was hang out in his field. Oh yeah & the other day my dogs charged the fence when he walked by, I was in my goat pen trimming hooves, & I heard a click like a low cal gun or one serious BB gun come from his side of the fence. My dogs went dead silent, & for a bit my doxy didnt come when called. For a few horrible moments I actually thought the jerk had shot my dog, but then she ran over happy as normal. Definitely talking to him. I really dont want to raise legal issues for multiple reasons right now. He lives with his ailing & elderly mother, go figure, & we plan to wait till she isnt around. She has been a fair neighbor but he sure hasnt... Id love to see him gone.

is it really 117 degrees there this time of year or any time? i thought it got hot here but i would die if it was that hot here, i do not do well in the heat anymore.

Actually "hydrothermal vents" are like geysers in the ocean. I think my problem is most likely a bad temperature sensor in my camera.
