In the past he has spread horrid rumors about my lab X, admitted to spitting at a wolf dog we were keeping for a friend (the wolf loved everyone but him), & just to bother me since I love animals also admitted that back when we had a large feral cat population he used to shoot them for fun. The only thing they did wrong was hang out in his field. Oh yeah & the other day my dogs charged the fence when he walked by, I was in my goat pen trimming hooves, & I heard a click like a low cal gun or one serious BB gun come from his side of the fence. My dogs went dead silent, & for a bit my doxy didnt come when called. For a few horrible moments I actually thought the jerk had shot my dog, but then she ran over happy as normal. Definitely talking to him. I really dont want to raise legal issues for multiple reasons right now. He lives with his ailing & elderly mother, go figure, & we plan to wait till she isnt around. She has been a fair neighbor but he sure hasnt... Id love to see him gone.

And may he be overrun by vermin for cutting down the cat population.

Please be careful. If he's openly admitted to other nasty actions and is carrying a loaded gun with him when patrolling the fence, no matter what caliber, he could be dangerous. You've probably already figured this, but don't talk to him alone. I feel bad for his mother. If I had a son that I knew was behaving like that, he'd sure get it from me!

Midwest, specifically northwest corner of Missouri. Forty years ago my property was mostly infertile weedy clay pasture with a few trees along the creek. A little land management goes a long way if you do a little more each year. I now have deer, turkeys, fox, bobcat and other wildlife---most wanting to eat my garden and chickens. I've planted fruit trees, nuts, berries, grapes, and also wood and lumber trees.

Red lll - did you know that jerk just committed a felony offense? My blood is roiled at the moment, but to be brief, it is jerks like that who have caused alot of restrictions on firearms. I would have the issue legally documented, including what you've put on line. Ultimately he is harrasing YOU by threatening your critters, and now he is brandishing a firearm. Law enforcement will not be happy with this idiot.

You are probably not too far north of me. I'm in the NE corner of KS. We have very few fox around here due to the large number of coyotes. The only place I have seen a fox around here is right smack dab in the middle of town, on Main street!

I agree. People who go around teasing and torturing animals are sick individuals. Something is wrong with the guy, and threatening with a gun is not to be taken lightly. I think it should be reported, but criminy! Be careful. You never know what a kook like that will do.

It's kind of like road rage... having a car wrapped around them makes them big tough guys.
