These are not bad pictures in my opinion . Low cost cameras are all I use . These take 4 c batteries . I use rechargeable batteries .

I did check out the Wildgame ones and they seem to have a very slow trigger speed. I do sort of like the idea that I could have two for the price of one, though, so you do have a point about that. Right now, I've been considering the Browning Strike Force, but there again, you're up at $129. I wish I could find cheaper ones with not so many bad consumer reviews. I think I could get a Moultrie 880 for about $112, which is another I considered.

I have no complaints about the trigger speed . On rare occasions I get a empty pic . Running game is hard to get a picture of on any camera . Depends if you point it down a trail or across the trail and if the animal approaches in the predicted direction .

I agree about the running game. I'm still researching them all and if I can find an acceptable one for about $75 or under, I may end up getting two of them. Of course, most of this is on my son anyway, who gave us the Amazon gift cards. Since I don't need multiple cameras for observing deer plots, one decent camera should suffice. If I decide I want a second one at some point, I could then get one of the cheapies. I'll only be paying what is over the $100 mark for whatever I buy.

Question: do you have yours in one of the lockbox things?


ETA: Today, August 14, I pulled the trigger and ordered this one, the reason being that I decided it was not just a toy, but also for coop security. Ladyhawk (Cetawin) has had birds stolen from her coops twice already up in KY and I've been nervous about thefts/coop break-ins ever since that happened. I can place on a tree not far from the house it so it shows at least two of the coops, plus a view between them out toward the "back forty".

Another reason I chose this one over competitors in the same class was that I found where some guys were discussing it on a trail cam forum and one posted quite a few pics, both day and night, taken with this one, which impressed me. If someone is breaking into my coops, I'd like to see them fairly well. This ought to do it. In the future, I can get a cheaper one similar to what jerryse mentioned if I want to place one out on the acreage behind the coops or down the mountain where I can't see my land from the house. Maybe I'll be posting some pics on the thread and not just bugging you guys with questions soon!

If you've got someone stealing your chickens, you better make sure the camera is well hidden and secure as well. Most come with tabs that allow you to lock them but that doesn't mean they can't be stolen and opened later.

I've got one mounted high up in a tree- It takes photos of anyone coming through my front gate.

Working on that right now, checking out the best location for it. It was shipped within 2 hours of ordering it and I got it within 2 days, great service for sure!

I don't even have Amazon Prime, but I really should get it as much as we use it. This came from an Amazon vendor called OutdoorTrailCams. I think it's the fastest shipped item I've ever had; once, we had one shipped the same day, but not within two hours. Kudos to them!

Coyotes in my backyard in NJ, exciting to see them on the trailcam because I knew they were there but have never seen one in real life! There is a second coyote in the background, he is harder to see but his eyes are glowing.
