Post Your Game Cam Pics Here!!!

Oak is the good old stand by, I had some old neighbors who's apple tree died, oh the tragedy! They were so grateful I cleaned it up for them. The fruit trees give a much milder flavor, but I just love it. I have not gotten the hang of mesquite, it always seems too overpowering for poor old store bought pork. Or it might be me.
The wild cherry tree was dead on my new property when we bought it, my real estate agent wanted them to clear it up for me. No!! I am cutting it limb by limb, on an 'as needed' basis. The tree is not bothering a thing and I don't have to stack it.
I have a salad for dinner, my taste buds are sad.

i have heard apple is good. and yes, apparently mesquite is not for everyone.

i do my own trees too...i can't see paying someone to do something i can do myself. we have to be careful and only do it during the winter...oak wilt is getting bad here.

that is a deer feeder with green LED floodlights on it. the lights are wired into a 35 amp/hr balttery via a solar charge controller (50 watt panel) and a dusk-to-dawn switch.

lights come at dusk, stay on all night, switch off automatically at sun-up, and recharge all day.

been doing that everyday for 2 years now.

i sit up on a bluff at night 240 yds downwind and put 178 grains of lead going ~2600 fps in their ears.

it's great fun!!

i am sitting here as i type on my phone watching the feeder, waiting for dark and hopefully their emergence.

i'll find some pics and post them ip later.

this cell phone photo will have to do for now.

You're a one man wild hog harvester!
Baiting/feeding is legal?
I hear they can be quite the problem down there...over population?

yes sir, they are a "problem" in most parts of the country, and many don't even realize it. i understand why they are, but i also see them as an opportunity.

last night i wasn't alone...i was actually sitting with a good friend of mine last night watching that thing. he was trying to get one to take home to the wife and kid.

putting a deer feeder out is legal in every state, isn't it? it's da*n sure legal in u.s.-occupied texas!!

even if it was, it wouldn't stop me... no gov't bureaucrat is going to tell me how i can and can't feed my family. that is God's domain.

i will die on my feet before i live on my knees.

there is a logical white-tail deer season and bag-limits here (which needs to be changed), but you can hunt exotic and feral animals year round, night or day. the pigs are smart and have gotten so much pressure that they are really only active at night.

it looks like you're in luck:

although this part made me laugh:

"Feral swine carry several diseases that can infect humans including brucellosis, balantidiasis, leptospirosis, salmonellosis, toxoplasmosis, trichinosis, trichostrongylosis, sarcoptic mange, tuberculosis, tularemia, anthrax, rabies and plague."
