Here is a spooky picture I got on my game camera. There is actually nothing there, an apparition maybe. I don't know what it is but when I went out this morning to collect the cards I didn't see anything but this showed up on one of the cameras. The image in the middle of the picture. This is no joke. I don't know what it is but it wasn't actually there.

Bird or other flier out of focus?
Smear on lens from something flying into it?

I'll check the camera. I have several pictures from that camera and the same thing is in all of the pictures. Weird...

I went out and checked the camera for smudges and didn't see anything. I put it in the test/setting mode and nothing like that was on the little screen in the camera. Here is another picture from that camera this morning.

Well, that kinda clinches it...something on the camera.
Could it be moisture and/or condensation either on the lens or inside somewhere?

I agree with Anne, has to be moisture /condensation. I get that a lot after a rain or dense fog. Also, my "pet" doe will get really close and almost put her nose on the camera lens so could be a nose smudge, too.

I have several of these game cameras. They take very good nighttime pictures or video. They also do quite well for distance. Some cameras I have the subject has to be quite close to the camera. Most cameras take good daytime pictures but some not very good nighttime pictures. Here most of the predators roam at night so I like my cameras to take good night pictures/videos. The price isn't bad. I have paid more and have paid less for the same camera. I'm always looking for a good deal. Here are some pictures and comparisons of pictures taken from the same spot with different cameras. These pictures are all of coyotes. The first four pictures are taken with cameras like this one.

This is a different camera in the same spot of the third picture. There are coyotes in all of these pictures. You can see the camera lights from other cameras in the background. They aren't actually bright like that but are infrared and look like they are bright in the pictures.

This picture is of a coyote which is hard to see with another camera in the same spot as the first picture.

Just got our cat, rabbit, lots of pics of the does and twin fawns, not the single fawn though for some reason, no predators except the hawk that landed in two of the pics. Thankfully, no roaming dogs lately. I wish the deer would stop eating the peas and squash in the big compost pile. I've tried hanging dangly stuff, scented dryer sheets, etc, but since we harvested all the potatoes from there and the level is lower, she keeps jumping in and eating whatever isn't growing through the fence into the big, higher fenced garden. Well, she can't reach them all, ha. If only DH would allow me to get another dog, but I have to shore up all the fencing before I can contain one reliably again.
