Post Your Game Cam Pics Here!!!

Pics
Ok,

So now I want my own Game Cam just for taking some good wildlife shots. We are up here on 80 acres in NE WI.

I would like color night shots so I would have to go with the regular flash right? But I also would like to set up a cam for possible poachers etc. So I would need the infrared flash !!!! Geez, even this is a difficult decision !!

Do the Cuddebacks ever go on sale? I see my local Fleet Farm has the Wildgamme, Stealth and Moultrie cams on sale but not the Cuddeback.

The truth cam looks interesting but doesn't look like it taks videos?

Anywone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

ps I like the advice about battery life. Those things can cost you a small fortune !!!

I have 2 Moultrie infrared i40s and 1 Cuddeback Attack Flash. They each have good points and bad points. I bought all of mine new off of ebay for cheaper than I could find them locally even on sale. You do have to be careful who you buy from ~ I made sure only to order from a business that would give me a printed invoice which you need for the warranty.

It is a little difficult to remove the SD card from the Moultrie esp if you have larger fingers, but you can swap them out without removing the camera from the tree. My Cuddeback requires removing the camera from the quick mount on the tree and opening the back to remove the card, but that is easy. My experience with battery life on the Moultrie has been good ~ only about 3 sets of 6 "D" batteries a year and my cameras are out all year long. Video drains the batteries much quicker. I have only had the Cuddeback about 2 months so I'm not sure how long the batteries will last in it. I did have to send one of my Moultries back (under warranty) to have the display replaced when it became unreadable.

Thanks,

We are going to town right now. Gonna look. About how much did you save? Right now the are on sale and if I spend $75 there is a $10 off coupon.

If I would get the moultrie's then I could get two for the price of the cuddeback !!! LOL
If I get the spy cam black flash I could maybe still get the moultrie. I like the idea of the colored night time pictures !!!! Decisions, decisons and of course I don't have enough money to just go buy the best or one of each !!!

Yeah as far as my experience with my Moultrie is concerned I agree. You have to kind of snap the card out and hope you can catch it before it hits the ground. I had good luck with the Moultrie in re batteries--Duracells--kept one set in from October to May with the camera on 24/7 using the video. I then replaced them but the camera said they were above 50%. The only problem has been that you have to make sure the internal memory is erased every time you load in the SD card or you'll get a "memory full" action and no pictures.

I also have a Busnell that I just returned to Cabela's for replacement--went down in less than a month. Took 3 pictures and quit.

I have a pair of Wildviews (I got a "2 fer" on them) that aren't very reliable and use up batteries very quickly.

Well, just got back from town. I got one Moultrie-55 and the Spy Cam.

The Moultrie was $79.99 on sale and got another $10 off that. (Normally priced at $89.99) This one has the flash so I can get color night pictures.

The Spy Cam was $149.99 on sale and got another $10 off that. It was normally priced $189.99 The Cuddebacks, both models were not on sale and were $229.99

So DH and I rang them up seperate hen he went back in line and got the batteries and cards and other stuff for them so we could use another coupon and get another $10 off.

I'll tell ya what, that store made a bundle on me this week. I stocked up on dog food, scratch grain, and got the dogs new collars !!!

What do they say, spend money to save money ???? lol

Hope like these cameras. DH has a Moultrie that he needs to dig out and get some pictures too. Only his intent is a bit different then mine !!! lol

ETA What do ya think of those prices ? Fair ???

I sure wish I could get a new Moultrie for that cheap. I have an I-40 & it was around $130 not including shipping. I can maybe find one for 90-100 but it depends, & normally that also does not include shipping, but the stores in my area never have the cams Im interested in

so other wise im SOL.

The Moultrie D-55 with the Infrared was $119.99 but not on sale so I didn't look at that one. I liked the idea of the Truth Cam that people don't see the flash so I had to pay the extra for that. Then I wanted the color night pictures so got the Moultrie with flash.

I just looked at the Fleet Farm Website, they do have mail order and their shipping is a flat rate of $5.00 if you spend $49 or more. Don't know if this is a special for christmas or what but that's cheap shipping !!
Here is their website for the cameras. Looks like they have more online then in the store. I see they have a Primos Truth cam 60. Mine is the TruthCam Black Out, I don't see it online. Looks like the prices might be slightly different on a few cameras online too.

Just thinking, now that I see there shipping is so cheap to me I might just start shopping online instead of driving 30 miles !!!

Thanksgiving is coming up. I wonder if any of these stores that carry game cams will have any good specials for Black Friday. I hate to go shopping on that day, but if I could pick it up online and have it shipped I would sure consider doing that.

It's just a thought.
