Ive never ever seen weasels or foxes in my area. During the winter & rarely during the summer a coyote or 2 come down from the Bosque but thats its. There are also coons & skunks but the coons Ive only seen 2 or 3 in my lifetime & ive seen a bunch of tracks in the ditch. I live in a country neighbor hood thats somewhat surrounded by city. Sort of small town style: gas station & Sonic there a few acres of property there, maybe a smaller line of properties here & a few blocks off a big neighborhood with houses that all look the same... The closest ive ever come to seeing a fox was 3 years ago when someone dumped a chi pom mix down the road. When I first saw him I thought he was a fox then realized we dont have them around here (that I know of). Needless to say no one claimed him, I named him Faux (pronounced like Fox lol since hez a fake fox), & 3 years later he loves chickens though he once or twice he has chased them but its been a while & since he prefers not to get scolded...

My siblings are getting me one!! Not sure which, we spent a very few minutes over the holiday looking at different models, but it was too nice outside, so now we are emailing back and forth prices and models etc.

Nice animals! Kinda looks familiar

I leave my dog with my chickens all the time shes been really good about protecting them. Ive been wondering if someone bred dogs specifically as chicken guardians, I know they do for sheep and goats. I bet there would be a good market for someone who did.
