We've been in lockdown since Saturday morning and still no movement! . I'm starting to freak out!
I candled and at least 3/9 we're completely dark inside, a couple more were clear (infertile?), so I'm hoping for 3, maybe 4. Today through tuesday should really be the fireworks so will keep everyone posted, wish us all luck!!

Oh how very exciting. And how fitting, baby turkeys for thanksgiving. I really hope they hatch for you. Have patience, when is day 28?

, was going to send out a Happy Thanksgiving e-card to all my friends with a photo of their lil faces on it.
They arrived on 10/30/13, I put them in the 'bator that night after letting them warm up, so day 28 would be Wednesday. Temp has been steady between 99.5-101, and has now dropped a hair to 99. Since the bator' has been running a tad hot I am expecting an earlier hatch, so I set them them and raised the humidity a little early - on Saturday morning instead of Sunday morning. So hopefully they'll start getting into position today, and come out tomorrow. I'm so excited I can hardly wait, just hope my early set hasn't caused a problem. Just before the turkeys arrived, we lost a batch of duck eggs to a sudden and lengthy drop in temp which we didn't notice in time (stupid me, I accidently turned off the power strip the 'bator was attached to for 12 hours), but we set them anyway hoping it would be ok....eggtopsies revealed all 4 were fully developed and would have hatched. So I'm nervous.

Our first quail hatch was like this; set, then nothing, nothing, nothing, then the 18th morning they all started rolling and popped out at once.
Will keep you all posted when/if pipping begins....

Sadly, we are getting on on the "official hatch day" (day 28), and no more movement, no more pips, and even tho temp and humidity are in the right range, I'm losing faith any more of my precious little slates will hatch.

I won't give up 100% hope b/c typically once I mention something like this, something starts happening...
Eggtopsies will take place on Friday if nothing happens.
