I was so proud of my duck's first egg that I posted this photo to my Facebook page. It was yummy!

This is a mallard egg, and we also have Harlequins and a Cayuga who lay for us.

Well twist my arm!!

The egg in the bottom left is a buff orpington egg. The egg in the center is a super tiny duck-fart-egg I found one day with normal sized duck eggs for comparison:

eta: the blue and white eggs are Swedish eggs.

I am getting alot of duck eggs. I am ashamed to say that I tried to cook with them and I thought they stunk... Havent baked with them, just scrambled them. Now I am gathering them and throwing them over the hill. Going to set of them tonight tho. Don't really think they are fertile tho. My one male is a little dense. He keeps mating with the 5 females... sideways.. If they could get fertile through the wings.... I am in possesion of lots of fertile eggs.. lol. But going to try them anyway, just because I want to make sure and I have a goose egg I want to set.

new duckie, don't throw them over the hill! Sell them, and pay for some duck feed! I confess, I don't really like the smell of them cooking either, but I work with two people who love them and I get $5/dozen.
