i can't find how to post questions anywhere but on this thread? my hen came off of her nest too soon and i have one of her chicks in the incubator in the process of hatching right now. when the chick is out can i put it in with its mom and the other chick? or will mom just see it as an intruder? she is very protective of the one that she has.

As for putting the chick back with it's mom. Does she have other chicks the same age? If so, you can probably sneak the baby under at night with no issues. If momma has no babies, I wouldn't take the risk and brood this baby yourself.

yes she has a chick that just hatched yesterday.so hopefully it will hatch all theway today and i will sneak it in there tonight. thanks for the info . :)
