Solved posts out of order

I was starting to think my old PC, OS was starting to act up!

This will be my last post in public until it's sorted out. I feel bad for Matt having to try and fix a problem that he warned would happen if he tried to fix the minor issue from yesterday. Emojis are missing. Oh well. Now the entire forum is jacked.

Hope you get everything sorted out with the least amount of frustration possible @MattW!

Happened to me just now, too.
Some squirrels got in last night!

I know why it's happening now. A thread knows it's first and last post ID, so when we restored certain tables information from yesterday, it also reset these values, so when people started posting again today, the posts are being marked with the post positions following on from the previously known "last post number", which is now creating the issue with posts out of order.

The rebuild will recalculate the correct values and positions for the posts in the thread, based on the post date / time.

Same with me. Also when I click on a notification, it just takes me to the top of the page, and I can't find the message

It's the same for everyone. Until I confirm the rebuild has been run and finished, it will still be happening. There are 1.4 million threads that need to be rebuilt.

BYC is broken. doesn't matter who posts this morning, their post get's randomly stuck somewhere in the thread. For example, I just posted in Debby's thread and my post was placed before 6:45 yesterday. This appears to be happening consistently across all threads.

'He noticed this as well in a roleplay thread I'm in.
