Hi everyone! My boyfriend and I got 4 chicks from tractor supply that were supposed to all be pullets and one them (90% sure at this point) turned out to be a cockerel. He is about 8 weeks old now, was supposed to be a New Hampshire Red but is probably some kind of broiler or sex link. Here's some pictures below! The little guy is the one on the far left in the group picture.

If it does turn out to be a cockerel there is no way we can keep him, our town does not allow it and we/all of our neighbors in this densely populated neighborhood don't need an alarm clock. I thought I would be ok with giving him to a friend to eat but I'm getting too attached and would really prefer he go to a good home than be eaten (as we probably all would). If there is anyone willing to take in a rooster, please let me know as he needs to be gone within the next couple of months before he starts cock a doodle doo-ing at the entire metro Detroit population. We are located in Ferndale, MI and would be willing to travel a bit to get him to you. Thank you!

Update: he just crowed for the first time yesterday, rooster confirmed if it wasn't already obvious! A quiet, but very clear one. Someone please take him!
