Sadly both have passed on. He loved being around the chickens and would cry until I let him in the coop. She walked over and stood beside him to my surprise and his.

My first flock with our dog Kitty and Marshall watching over them as they "free range" in the spent garden. We put poultry wire over the area due to hawks. We had a hawk attack a few months earlier. Luckily the hen survived because a Silkie/RIR cross attacked the hawk causing it to drop the hen. She only suffered a leg puncture and was walking around the next day.
