I don't even know how to adjust mine either lol. I will look at it when I open it again. its running steady though so I don't want to mess with it. Cant you just push the button that says temp up?

I read your note that you added water and thought you said you added dish water to a 4" square lol
mine has 2 channels on the bottom one in the middle and one on the side.
when I add a cup or 3/4 cup of water to the side its bumping mine to about 40% 2 days later I do the same. wonder if every Genesis is a little different

You have the new style and it is adjustable from the top. The old style used dip switches to adjust the temperature and did not have a built in thermometer and hygrometer.

The old ones worked very nicely though.

Info this morning is 99* with 37% humidity.
sounds good to me. If the temps flux in your house a lot many people will use a drip line and put through the vent hole to fill with water. I may try this myself if we get any more cold weather this year. though it looks like after today / tonights rain we are dry for a few weeks with nice temps

Ok. I used too have the wafer system on my old one. wasn't the Genesis but the one below it. Hated it . I can't stand wafer systems. maybe it was just mine but i switched that darn wafer twice and ended up giving it away. My house was really drafty over there though.
2500 ft elevation on a very shady north side of a hill with a creek below. always cold . poor insulation and windows drafty.
this place is higher 3400 ft colder during storms but being on a ridge all the cold air drains away so generally we are warmer.

The old style Genesis was digital too. It held very steady temperatures but you could not easily adjust the temperature setting. A trick if it gets cold and night is to up the temperature a bit at night and then turn it back down in the morning. That is hard to do with dip switches under the lid.

you can also put a blanket over it but keep the air hole uncovered for good airflow. I did that a few times when we had temps in the 30's for highs at the old place. no central heat there. here we do at least

If my incubator keeps dropping down to 98* and going up to 99*, should I push up the number 8 switch and have the number 7 switch off?
I would leave it and see how does for the next hatch. If they are still sticky then go up one more.
