Im thinking she might be full WFBS, the breeder told me he had 2 WFBS hens and 2 minorcas with his WFBS roo, i just assumed she was half. She should be about 10 months so maybe she will get a more white?

Nice!

I don't have the WFBS so I have no experience with them. If she's 10 months old (?) and her face is as white as it is, I'm going to hazard a guess in that if she's not a large bird (Minorca cross), then she's probably pure... was she one of the hens in with the WFBS cock? I know she's a pullet but some people don't distinguish pullets from hens... if its female, its a hen. Do you only have the one bird of that breed? Did you see his Minorcas? He may have had them in with the WFBS to increase size. Do you have any profile pictures of her?

One of those hens is her mother, he had minorcas and WFBS in the pen, she is rather small. il try to get some good pictures of her. She wont let me get real close unless i offer a treat.

Check out my little Olive Egger chick--she is Crele Penedesenca X UofA Blue:

The Penedesenca Genes are strong in that one

Hi Ron, do the Crele's generally hatch out black? Or is she black because there is black in the genes of the Penedesenca? Or are the UofA blues responsible for the black? I guess what I'm wondering is why you say the Penedesenca genes are strong in this little chick? I don't raise them, obviously, or perhaps I wouldn't need to ask.

7 of them hatched and they were all black!

For the Penedesenca genes I was referring to the shape of the head, beak, eye set and leg color. Basically the body shape that is moving away from the Araucana x leghorn look.

The UofA Splash looks like:

Rounder body, legs will be yellow, beak and head are not as long.
