It could have been any number of predators. I also have a few chooks that like to fly out of their pens to visit their chickie neighbors.

Opa, I love the idea of a roll up shad....What kind specifically do you use? Those cheap white ones at Walmart?

I have a problem with raccoons climbing at night. Did you have a suggestion about that???

How small would the welded wire opening need to be to keep out weasels at night? I'm thinking 1/2" x 1", but the larger the opening the lower the cost.
