Your problem is most likely that debris in the contaminated rainwater is not allowing the ball that closes off the water to allow water past.

Might be the case for Tifnie. I use tap water for our chickens....anyone have any thoughts on possible causes?

If you are useing it on pvc then use a little pvc glue just bont get it on the maetl good luck
