Yes male Quail crow and some are very loud!I didn’t know quail could crow! Is it as bad as a rooster?

They say it’s not as loud as a rooster but mine is really loud and it’s a weird crow not like a rooster I can’t really explain the sound but there’s tons of videos on YouTube of quail crowing.I didn’t know quail could crow! Is it as bad as a rooster?

I wish I had made a video of my Bobwhites crowing, they honestly can be heard a mile or more away. Piecing sound to be right next to them when they crow! They make all manner of screeching, chattering and calling noises.

Here it is! I've never heard a wild Bobwhite however, quite sad they are so endangered in the wild. Turn it up!Neither have I! It would be a cool learning experience!
They’re cute! But I thought they had long tails? Maybe I’m confusing them with a pheasant…
